Mission Encounter Reflections: Looking back at the February Simulcast

On February 21, more than 95 participants gathered across five locations for a day-long Mission Encounter workshop. Ages ranged from 15 to over 90 and included new and seasoned believers. Throughout the day, people received practical training, empowering prayer, and practiced what they were learning in real time; our goal with these workshops is always equipping believers for the harvest field.
What emerged across the different sites was discipleship in motion. This workshop created space for believers to grow in confidence and function.

One site host shared, “We had 16. We saw new believers of only a few months praying for those who have been serving the Lord for years.” This lets us know a great deal about the kind of culture Mission Encounter is meant to build. The work of every disciple should not be kept at a distance. People entered in and participated.
They continued, “I enjoyed this mission encounter more than the first time. It’s like the first time I lifted the lid and peeked under and this time the lid flew off and I could see more.” That language captures the sense of expansion that several leaders described. There was greater clarity, greater openness, and a stronger awareness of what God was doing through the day.
That growth also showed up in personal connection and testimony. One site host reflected on a conversation with a newer believer whose daughter had recently led her to the Lord after years of praying for her. After they shared their stories with one another, the woman came back at the end of the day and said “that she doesn’t feel alone anymore.” She shared that hearing where someone else had been, and seeing where they are now, gave her hope and helped her recognize who she is now. Testimony, and especially proficient testimony, gives us a tool for transformation, strengthens identity, and helps people see the work God is doing.
Another site leader reflected on the day from across the room, sharing, “I simply stood in the back of the room and watched in awe as multiple generations came together with one banner of unity, which was Jesus Christ.” They watched participants “praying together, laughing together, sharing a meal together,” and saw “the power of shared testimony, where God divinely united people together through a shared testimony.”

That same leader also pointed to the practical results of the training. “I saw healings take place through people practicing a tool that was given to them. Through prayer, the healing took place today.” That observation gets to the heart of why the Mission Encounter works. People are equipped with practical tools in ways that are often overlooked or that some often struggle with scaffolding and connecting with.

“The Lord showed me that in that atmosphere of coming together in unity," they continued, "in one accord, with one common goal, the enemy got punched in the face.” What a win! The Mission Encounter is about equipping believers to participate in the work of the Kingdom with substance, clarity, and authority. Prayer, testimony, healing, and connection all become part of that larger work.
Across all five locations, the day served as a real investment in the Church. New believers stepped forward. Mature believers ministered with fresh engagement. Site leaders watched people grow in confidence and function. The result was a stronger, better-equipped body prepared for the harvest field.
